Te Hā Noa transformed a key Auckland CBD corridor into a vibrant green link between Victoria Park, Albert Park, and Te Waihorotiu Station, bringing nature back into the heart of the city through extensive tree planting and landscape enhancements.
For ScapeSpec, the project was a landmark achievement and the foundation of our Structural Soil journey. Extensive research, international collaboration, and technical development led to the creation ofthe SH060 and SH206 Structural Soil systems, designed to support healthy tree growth within demanding urban infrastructure environments.
The success of Te Hā Noa was driven by collaboration. Civil engineers, project managers, environmental specialists, arborists, landscape architects, Auckland Council, and ScapeSpec worked together to balance construction requirements with long-term landscape performance, delivering a shared vision for Auckland's future.
Today, SH060 and SH206 are proven solutions used extensively across Northland and other urban greening projects. What began as an innovative response to a complex challenge has become a benchmark for creating resilient, healthy urban landscapes.
